AliBaba. AhKowBaba, AruBaba

Long before mentioned the New Economic Policy(NEP) that was introduced during 1970s. It attempts to figure out the social indifference in terms wealth distribution among the ethnic group. NEP pumps great measure on creating a strong business clan among the Malays. Various measure and strategic actions was mented and rolled. Siding the effect of ethnic Chinese dorminance, NEP has successfully changed the facelift of social and wealth distribution. Malays now are no longer live in Kampung and rural areas. They became part of urbanite. Lots of them had moved to the major city - Kuala Lumpur.

The Government had made most of the construction and supply contract with almost full bumiputera participation. Influential and well connected people had set up companies, securing contracts then 'sub-contract' to those genuine contractors. Coming up with the next stream, the fenomena of Alibaba - had created some rich Malays - making easy, good and fast money.

Now that the new generation of Chinese and Indian businessmen tend to expect good money and return - without investing any money - except for helping others to lobby for government contracts. Most of the government contracts has sub-contracted to foreigners (especially Indonesian workers). Business Lobbier and Commision Agents pick the high growth percentage. Ethnic Chinese business community were deemed to be more hard working and not now. Ethnic Malays had governed a positive attitude towards business acumen.

Then, this Alibabas have created AhKowBabas and AruBabas. Most of us chose fast and easy way to make money. Few peoples still continue to pursue business venture in a relatively hard way. We can't stop the trend, we abide into it. We bite the bullets for securing social harmony. We paid the price of slower economic growth. We settled for mass distribution of wealth and social responsibility. The government then took care of the 'Bumiputeras' and now that they have to take care of the Non Bumiputeras as well.

Now that, nothing can stop the evolution. Then the AhKowbabas obtained those contracts - subcontracting to the Bumiputeras! Arubabas had started to mongle certain sectors of business. Certain NGO - pressure groups put hard line and aggressive that demands from the administrators for easy and good money. If not, they tend to lose in the next GE.

Well, in my opinion, we got to do thing in a more logical manner. We must respect the nature. If we do, contracts would be awarded based on merits not vice. We ask for trouble for giving preference to those influential one - a feudalism that practiced in this modern time. We fight to abide to the natural facelift. We fought for the our dearly motherland. And the motherland should take care of the dearess one.

Till then, this is purely my comment.

TKI

Dato' Seri Ong Tee Keat (OTK) and fellow 'comrads' worked out a 'PIECE' formulae. The dramatic turnaround results drafted and crafted within the last one week. Chua Soi Lek (CSL)seems to be OK with the solution. He should be offered exco post in the cabinet level.

In a surprise, someone has used the media to 'attack' Dato' Sri Liow Tiong Lai on the irregularities. Picking up the uncertain claim, it is wonder that he is forced to accomodate. I ascertain it rarely correlated each other.

Siding the effect of wonder and benefit of doubt, PM is involved in this pieceful accomodation. Mind the thrust of working relationship, there is no enemy in politics. Neither nor friends. It is just working relationship. Some work together with common ideas, some with common enemies. OTK marches well with his idealogy but not all the time. This time, he must bake a bigger piece of cake and to be sliced with more wonderful 'comrads'.

Now, he marches on with critical eyeview; checking against his 'machai' and 'comrads' versus his known devine rivals. In the eye of morality, CSL appears as 'nothing to lose' if he lost. Now that, EGM has over, money spent. The rivalry of factions among the 'comrads' calmed. All of them took years to climb up to what they are now. Most felt uncertain and unsatisfied if resigned now. Some fear they might lose their entities and jobs. It is just fairy tale while OTK asking everyone to resign and they refused. More often, they felt that this is OTK own personal pride. OTK did say that it was not him that wanting CSL to be sacked.

There is no such thing pondering about politics, whether the so called 'human resources management' - chose the best candidate, chose the highest performer, or the most outstanding one. Now, it is a classic example that in Yi-Ching, we say Nothing is Absolute and Everything is related to each other (任何事情都是相对的, 而不是绝对的).

Najib will chose the best alternative in solving the issue and not the best candidate to take care of MCA. This is one class above Mahathir. Judging from the way and which the crisis to be resolved, Najib gain another plus point to wrestle back more seats from Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

It is quite noticeable that Najib will call for snap GE in another 18 - 20 months or properly earlier if it is ready. He is very focus into knocking every one of his 'machai'; instructing them to work harder - in order to gain back the 2/3 majority in the parliament. He is not really interested in postering the effect of Perak Constitutional crisis, or the re towering the Selangor State. He is more focus on what needs to be done. He instructed DBKL and JPN to sell those 'rumah rakyat' at RM35000 per unit (a price that is so low that every 'lucky' buyer would strike a wind fall). He carries the torch in momentuming the paradigm shift UMNO, although most delegates and divisional/branch leaders still busy lobbying for contracts.

He is not really interested in answering those comments that he is 'corrupted' and what not. He involves directly in the pathing and clubing. He means business. He introduces KPI (although most says it will fail). When Mahathir and Ku Li commented negatively on the choosing of ISA as the candidate for Bagan Pinang by-election, he moderately shut their mouths and went on to win the by election with flying colour. The question is that, whether the cronies and his machai will follow his route path. Till now, I hope they are not "Hangat-hangat Tahi Ayam".

In the nut shell, Najib is making use the opportunity of the MCA crisis, manuscript a "TECHNICAL KNOCK IN" scene.

OTK or TKO

YB Dato Sri Ong Tee Keat (OTK) is in the midst on managing the crisis. The ever evoluting situation in MCA generates a fascinating manuscript of this Chinese ethnic political party. Months before, OTK could have chosen to keep quiet and accept Chua Soi Lek (CSL) as his second man. Instead, he chose to kick him out. Thanks to the help of his so called "ma chai" - the group of central committee members. There and then, the 'cleansing' process went on. Many regional leaders and figures head chopped. In addition, many MCA leaders had loosen their knots when they suffered tremendous setback during the 12th GE. Leaders at several states including Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Penang and Kedah had lost their grip. They have lost their post in various hierachy and levels - from the assembly, councils, village heads, etc. The frustation and anger can be perforated with the existance of faction fighting in MCA.

Those delegates that chose to vote for CSL because "They have nothing to lose anymore". Those who chose to vote OTK because they still hold certain legislative and executive positions. Some chose to ignore these faction fighting. Most feel the sympathy and shaking heads of the bitter scene. OTK had earlier on declared that he would resign if those resolutions in the EGM adopted. Now that, he decided to stay on. If I were him, I will do so.

Judging from the scene, most people want him to leave. I think he should stay. He did nothing wrong. He tried his best to make his formulae and manifesto work. In another perspective, he could have chosen to convince his boss (PM) to arrange a position say 'the ambassidor with minister status - The Ambassidor to China' for CSL. Long before, Someone had used use this method. Someone was sent to the US and being disappeared from local politics for several years. When this guy came back, he lost his grip. He could have walked away with 'handsome' contract, and keep quiet - be a decent "business man" under the blended BN government.

I think he does what must. Not what want.
He poises for CHANGE, and however, most do not follow him.
Now, he is facing the dilemma of Technical Knock Out (TKO) situation.
I agree with the way and which the manuscript to be drafted. While he is in power, that everyone will stand behind him and declared to resign if the resolutions were adopted. Now that, certain resolutions adopted and CSL is being reinstated as member and not Deputy President. Everyone assumes that the floor rejected OTK. Thats only works when 2 out 3 rejected him.

In this case, I support OTK. Let the floor to decide once more.
Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. This time the delegates will go for OTK or TKO.

15 Malaysia

I went to one of gathering in KL; screening the 15 Malaysia short films. Ironically, the movies play with the conscious of real situations in another perspective. That the general public had wanted to voice out and the film makers attempt to manuscript the taught.

In my opinion, it is not a film, it's art. It tells the actual storey. It relates incident. It diagnoses critical social indifference.
The film "Rojak" posts me with higher attention. I saw one of the young Sulaiman brothers, the film directors. They are our new generation. They are in the era that we have never expected.

We have never expected the world change so fast...too fast that the people could not live with the studied theorem. We studied theory that they studied. We use calculator only after form 4. We studied basic computer knowledge in the university. They use computer since standard 4.

We sat in the hailam kopitiam to enjoy the kopi-o, toast with kaya/butter; with our newspapers. They sat around the "Old Town Kopitiam" busy triggering the key board of their notebooks. We are boxed with the books and reference within our memory. They kept their memory in the small little pendrives.

Things change. So does the behaviour of our people. They are more towards the real life. They live with the bunders of credit cards bills. Our great grand-parents kept the cash under the bed. We kept the cash in the saving account. They only kept the bills and loan documents.

I asked the floor of panels after the show, whether there are more decent films then this 15 shots. One of them told that we can check the net that the numbers is continue running and it is running at 78 now. I feel uneasy, that I am outdated. Information posts in a speedy manner.

To this date, I solute the organizers and the directors and film makers, including those have involved thru out the film making; including the actors for passing message out of quite a creative manner.

Science and Maths Subjects in English

Our schools had practiced for the past 30 years before few years ago, that teaching of these subjects changed from Bahasa Malaysia to English.
I was one of the product of the then education system; that the subjects being taught in Bahasa Malaysia. It was OK until Form 6. I started to feel the pressure of language barrier. Whereas the reference books and others during the tertiary education was in English (I entered Universiti Malaya in 1984). I really felt uncertain and busy handling these languages. Lectures and notes were conducted in Bahasa Malaysia whislt text book and reference books all in English. Poshing of the additional effort and time spent, I think it is proper to start earlier than before.

Knowing the change of medium instruction perceived needy competitive environment, I salute the courage and braveness of our previous adminstrator including Tun Mahathir, to trigger the change. I still agree with this system now.

Change of words and opinions on this medium of instruction issue is going on now. Cabinet is on the edge to make decision. Some still wonder whether to support due to political pressure. I suggest we should continue the ruling. Perhaps we may make some changes and alternative measure such as giving some options of the selection of medium for instruction of these subjects. I listen to what Muhyiddin said that he is set English as mandatory passing subject. It implies that the Government is forced to give in to retreat to the former system.

Learning science and maths in English does not change the world. It provides a seed of convenience for everyone of us. Some may want to choose to learn in Bahasa Melayu so be it.

World change, and it becomes global. Some may choose the convenience to learn with faster pace. Millions of school children in China now pick up English since Primary One. Some study science and maths subjects both in English and Mandarin.

I am a Cinapek. My children speak English with me and not Hakka or Mandarin.
I speak fluent Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and English, so do our children. We ask around and there is only and only one country in the world - Malaysia (Not even Singapore), that the children being taught in three languages (if they choose to do so. I am proud to be one of them.

This ia an added advantage. I suggest we don't misinterprete the authenticity. We are flexible enough to deal the British, American and Chinese etc and speak their language. We have our identity. We speak Bahasa Melayu among ourselves if we want to discuss in private of decision during the negotiation with them. Its simply they do not have the chance to live with this unique education system of Malaysia

Ladies and Gentlemen, please maintain the ruling. Just improve the delivery system if need be.

Politics is Power - replying dato' ti lian ker's statement

HI, friends of blog, everyone seems quite confused when we argue the conflict between the two camps. No one seems to look at the real issue bothering the general rakyat.

I think real problem now, is that there are no longer relevant to say how good and bad of BN and PR are.....

The point is, everyone is interested to administer their basic living needs. People has been struggling with the housing loan, car hp and monies to pay for the daily needy items....

Ya...quite a lot comments mentioned the unfair treatment within the ethnic group of polaracial politics in Malaysia,

more so, politic is about the treatment of power. And its people who give the leader the power to rule the country.

It's proper to outsmart the people's need. It is more proper than to command the given power with rational action.

Some say DAP power crazed or the vice versa...To me all political parties are power driven not power crazy..THIS IS THE RULE OF THE GAME...

It is not relevant to say Lim Kit Siang is power crazy...or saying that BN had cornered people right in Perak....

Rule of the game again: Winner take all,... in material whether it uses dirty tactics..biased court ruling...money politics...pinching ADUNs from others... Hey: All of us must understand that how well we can establish ourself...

politic never say good man win and bad boy lose... it says power relativity...the perceived quality of the whole process of political struggle lies on how well politicians establish their mean value and the absolute value.

It is true that UMNO, MCA, Gerakan, etc have differences amongst...Also the same with DAP,PKR and PAS in Pakatan Rakyat..
They have commonality now...and..may be different in the future...We may see some may switch among themselves...Today some will be in Pakatan or BN, and the next day, they will frog to another camp....

It is not advisable to say how bad is this party and that particular persons...It is better to highlight the need of the people and problems circling within.

Imagine, real life problems...a Chinese Primary School in Taman Desa Jaya, Kepong has got more than 5000 students... Parents have to drive 15km to send their children to school; making 2 daily trip of totaling 60km. What if other extra co..activity..More often, traffic jams,,etc..Do you think that the people living there are satisfied....If people choose the vernacular school then so be it...

We are living in the era of change evolution...Only those who chart for change..will win..Even politicians now require rebranding and repackaging...

You can call for 1Malaysia...what is that...you can say rebranding..marketing...or whatever

The MAIN THING, once must establish the rule of game:

Are You Able To Establish Your Influential Power????
Malaysia is going thru a healthier political era...People has the right to choose...It is not money that can buy..nor any judiciary legitimacy...It's the attitude, the behaviour, the character, the charismatic value, the personalities that attaining quality leadership...that people give them the mandate, the 'amanah' to serve them...

This is what needs to be strived for : The Main Thing of MAIN THING
--- RULER - Assemblies/Parliments - Judiciary - PBT/Officers - PEOPLE
relationship's formulation.....

Like to listen to ur comment...
Dato' bolehlah kita bertarung lidah sesama...
